Multi-Modal Perception & Compute Platform

The IAST Autonomous Driver Bot integrates six complementary sensor modalities fused with high-performance compute to achieve robust real-time perception, localization, and path planning in complex environments.

IMU Sensors

Inertial Measurement Units provide 6-DOF motion data — accelerometer and gyroscope — enabling dead-reckoning, attitude estimation, and vibration-aware navigation when GPS signals are unreliable or unavailable.

GNSS / GPS

Global Navigation Satellite System receivers deliver centimetre-to-metre level absolute positioning and velocity data, forming the backbone of global localization and long-range route planning for the autonomous platform.

NVIDIA Processors

NVIDIA Jetson-class SoCs provide GPU-accelerated compute for deep learning inference, real-time sensor fusion, object detection, and autonomous decision pipelines — all within an embedded, power-efficient form factor.

Radar Sensor

Millimetre-wave radar provides velocity and distance measurements in adverse weather and low-visibility conditions. Used for adaptive cruise control, obstacle detection, and complementary to camera and LiDAR perception layers.

Camera Sensor

High-resolution cameras feed colour and texture data into the vision pipeline for lane detection, traffic sign recognition, object classification, and depth estimation via stereo or mono-camera algorithms.

LiDAR — 2D Sensor

2D LiDAR provides a high-accuracy planar point cloud for close-range obstacle mapping, occupancy grid generation, and simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM) — critical for safe navigation in structured indoor and outdoor environments.

Sensor Fusion Architecture

All sensor modalities are fused using an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and deep-learning-based perception pipeline running on the NVIDIA compute platform — producing a unified, low-latency environment model used by the autonomous navigation and control stack.

In-Vehicle Infotainment on Texas Instruments Hardware

IAST builds full-stack IVI solutions on TI SoC platforms, integrating multimedia frameworks, connectivity stacks, and automotive-grade HMI — tailored for OEM cockpit domain controllers.

TI Hardware Platform

Built on Texas Instruments automotive SoCs (TDA / Jacinto series), providing heterogeneous compute with ARM Cortex cores, DSPs, and hardware accelerators purpose-built for automotive multimedia and vision workloads.

HMI & Display Framework

Custom HMI development with Qt/QML or Android Automotive OS overlays — delivering fluid, responsive touch interfaces, multi-display cluster support, and pixel-perfect OEM branding.

Connectivity Stack

Integration of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, and automotive Ethernet into the IVI stack — supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and OTA update capability for field-deployed vehicles.

Multimedia & Audio

Full multimedia pipeline — video decode/encode, audio routing, and surround sound management — integrated with TI's hardware video accelerators for smooth 4K playback and low-latency camera preview.

Structured IoT Solution Delivery

Our end-to-end delivery process ensures robust, production-grade IoT solutions — from requirements to deployment — with rigorous validation at every stage.
